We are excited to announce our Spring Session of HAHSA After-School Activities! The session will begin on March 27th to June 1st. Complete details can be found below. Cooking with Ms. Alba: Grades K to 6
Cooking classes make a delicious and nutritious after-school activity! Ms. Alba has been teaching cooking at our school for many years. Each week students will learn to make a new recipe such as pizza, pumpkin doughnuts, apple crumble, cookies and many more delicious recipes! All recipes will be sent to parents after each class. All supplies included. The maximum class size is 16 students mixed.
- Mondays: March 27th to May 29th – Session Cost: $144.00 – 8 classes (no activity on April 10th & May 22nd)
- Tuesdays: March 28th to May 30th – Session Cost: $162.00 – 9 classes (no activity May 2nd)
- Wednesdays: March 29th to May 31st – Session Cost: $162.01 – 9 classes (no activity on May 3rd)
- Thursdays: March 30th to June 1st – Session Cost: $180.00 – 10 classes
Sports: Soccer, Movement & Fusion Sports
Soccer with Coach Steven Masella – Monday Grades K to 6
Practice the world’s greatest game! You will participate in individual and team exercises to improve your passing, shooting and ball control. Improve your footwork and learn to deke players on the opposite team. Each class will end with a friendly game! Indoor gym shoes are required.

Movement with Miss Tara: Grades Pre-K to 6
Your child has a lot of energy to expend so leave them with Miss Tara for an hour each week to focus on fitness through various forms of movement including dance, kickboxing, zumba, & bodyweight exercise. They will gain self-confidence & strengthen their overall health in a fun and supportive environment. Indoor gym shoes are required. The maximum class size is 25 students mixed.

Fusion Sports with Coach Leslie Aggrey – Wednesday Grades Pre-K to 6
Participate in different popular sports throughout the session: basketball, floor hockey, dodgeball and original sports such as ultimate Frisbee and kickball! Each week will be dedicated to discovering a new sport through friendly games! Indoor gym shoes are required.

Reptizoo: Grades K to 6
Reptizoo’s Reptiles Around the World
In this exciting program we unravel some of the mysteries about reptiles. As in our other programs, our main goal is for the kids to have fun while they learn about some of the animals we share our planet with. It is very hands on and interactive. We have lots of new, exotic, reptiles to share with the kids. We play games, have fun quizzes and team games. We also give out prizes to all the kids, throughout the program. The kids get to choose one of their favourite Reptizoo animals to have their photo taken with. On the last day we hand out their photos and a piece of reptile skin as a souvenir. All supplies included. The maximum class size is 22 students mixed.

Sheltoons: Pre-K to Grade 1
Little Artists
The children will learn to create characters starting off with the different letters of the alphabet. They will have fun changing the scene from day to night and will create monsters that change before their eyes. Using a wheel of expressions of their own creation they will draw silly faces. Finally, they will create some thaumatropes that will show them how simple optical illusions can be!

Mad Science: Grades 1 to 6
NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers
Mad Science and NASA have joined forces to bring the wonderful world of space to our extracurricular activities in our Academy of Future Space Explorers program! During the sessions, children will have the chance to live an extraordinary journey through the solar system exploring planets, stars and even the asteroid belt. With unique activities, amazing, fun and educational demonstrations, this program is out of this world! The maximum class size is 24 students mixed.
- Thursdays: March 30th to June 1st Session Cost: $220.00 – 10 classes
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- Registration closes on March 20th
- Only online registration will be accepted through Amilia registration (how to register).
- Payments can be made by credit card or eCheck.
- Before paying by eCheck, please verify with your bank that they accept eCheck. A 10$ fee will be applied to your account for each eCheck payment that fails or is reversed.
- All after-school activities start at 3:45 pm and end at 5:00 pm.
- Pre- K and Kindergarten students will remain in a classroom with a teacher until the end of the day dismissal begins at 3:45 pm, then they will be taken to their after-school activity.
- All parents are required to read and “ACCEPT” our After-School Activities Policies before completing their registration.
- HAHSA After-School will send a reminder email to parents that the activity will start, but it is the responsibility of the parents to remind their children of their after-school activity. We suggest that the parents do the following:
- Please send a note (physical or electronic) to advise their teacher
- Put a message in your child’s lunch box and agenda
- Please remind your child in the morning that they have an activity
- If you need to change your child’s after-school schedule and they will be absent from their program, you must advise the office of this change by 12:00 pm on the day of their activity.
- All parents must pick up their child at 5:00 pm at the Churchill gate (unless their child is going to daycare – only for registered students).
